THE SNOT MUST FLOW

Stefan, you are the man.

Perhaps,

... if you had not been wasting your time asserting your superiority, you would have noticed this beautifull sculpted and articulated Shrek figures by AdmiralStupid!

Wait, what kind of blog is this?

LEGO LEGO SPACE LEGO LEGO LEGO SPACE

See? It just doesn't work as well as our witty titles....

Most people build the MOC after the artwork. But not Tyler (aka Legohaulic) His Bloodbot went the other way.

It's not that I'm racing to blog things before TBB catches it. It's just that I am....
That, and it was this or clean my bathroom...

And so! We return you to your regularly scheduled interruptions.

Apocalypsis gets a new resident

Mark Kelso, who recently wowed us all with his beautiful "Apocalypsis" (Making of is here) now puts a Brian Kescenovitz mech into it. And while I can't call the mech beautiful, it is an awesome piece of work and fits into the scene amazingly well. Lovely.

RMing's WALL-E

Brickshelfer RMing has created a great rendition of WALL-E using mostly parts from 7657. Not only does it look good, but the arms and head are geared together! Click the picture for the full gallery:

Iron... Maiden?

Brickshelfer tannavalley, author of more than a few superhero models, now presents us with this:

Tanya Stark assumed the role of hero when her father died. During the day she defends against the forces of evil, but at night she dons a different suit of heavy metal to become Iron Maiden.

I also recommend the Steam IronMan

You built flipYap! Or YapFlip, was he?

Title inspired by this humorous little dialog snippet from Halo 3.

Tyler, AKA Legohaulic, has long been known for his high-quality Halo creations, and his latest is no exception: a "Grunt." These little guys are some of the most irritating enemies in the series, for the sole reason that they're so cute (and good comic relief) that you don't want to kill them. Tyler makes excellent use of angled tiles and plates to achieve the "Unggoy's" armor. His use of clips as the eyes is also very nice. Additionally, the nice stand is back from his earlier Gears of War figure.

Marcus Fenix by The Legohaulic

The Legohaulic never ceases to amaze. Exhibit A (And B, C, D...): His new Marcus Fenix. (from the Xbox 360 game Gears of War)

Gotta love chainsaw bayonets. The hand technique he uses for said bayonet isn't exactly new, but it's still as effective as ever. And that's not the only cool technique; the entire figure is full of them. The (I think) basketball arms as his chin, the tires throughout, the capes... And even the stand is way cool.

homeworld and bulldogs and... er, nothing else... oh my!

I seem to be cursed with having to reassure people that I'm not dead every time I post. Oh well, here goes: I'm not dead.

And I'm very glad of it too. If I were dead, I'd have never seen this sweet new microscale ship from spook. There's just so much to love about it: The color stripes, the greebles, the docking bay, the simple yet elegant shape, the subtle details... I'll stop even trying to list everything that's awesome about it. The stripes are great because instead of being all boring, they have little bits of licht blue in them, and there's a gap in one of them. They are also completely uninterrupted save for the above things. So they're very well executed. The greebles, as Bram pointed out on Flickr, has a amazing amount of variation for the amount of space it takes up, and that space is very nicely shaped. The docking bay's orange border is quite pwnsome, and I love the use of the whatever-those-are's for docking rings. But all those details aside, this ship still has a very good shape. Those white canopy parts make excellent nose sections, especially with the sensors sticking out from the one. The mandibles on either side of the docking bay only add to the awesomeness., and the little bunp on the nose, which I'm assuming is the bridge, is so well integrated it took me several looks through the gallery to realize it was there, and when I did I loved it for some reason, so now I decided I'd mention it.

Duane Hess, also known as Legozilla, has made a very good bulldog sculpture using Bram's sculpture generator thing. Nothing much to comment on, it's just a great sculpture.

And I'll rip off Mike and post musical influence: Aerosmith

Vroom Vroom.

Count Blockula continues his set of excellent Mario Kart characters with Mario. The building style is great, and while Mario isn't the most poseable figure in the world, he definitely conveys his Mario-ness very well. Now just make Luigi, Mike! Should be easy enough.

In other news, Spook is back with yet another rockin' awesome microscale ship, the "Kitsu Farenze Destroyer." While I personally would redo the bridge, it's really cool anyway. I really look forward to more great stuff from spook.

Jacob
Occasional driving force of the blog, self-proclaimed Lukas fanboy, and aspiring engineer, Jacob spends too much time building LEGO, not enough time practicing piano, and not nearly enough time doing school. He also enjoys long sentences. In the instance of blogging, he believes in quantity over quality, wherever quantity can be maintained.
Mike
One of the cofounders of YSAB, and the founder of YSA, Observing Mike actually being productive is a rare occasion. Mike enjoys making outlandish claims in relation to actually building, pretending he's actually sorting his collection, and making excuses for why he hasn't photographed his MOCs. In his free time he enjoys learning CSS from Spook, photography and poking badgers with spoons.
Dean
Occasional builder, occasional blogger, and full-time procrastinator. That's really the only way to describe Dean. He rarely gets anything done, but is a very active lurker. He's probably seen and liked your MOC, but just forgot he had a blog.
Erik
Erik is still a teenager.
Lukas
Lukas is tall, blond, mildly OCD, and doesn't build nearly enough as he would like to, thanks to school. He has a webpage.
Spook (Tim)
The resident codemonkey and graphics person. If something isn't working correctly, it's probably his fault. Fitting to his name, he doesn't post often, but someone has to do this stuff too, right? Spook does build with laygoes, and has his own blog as well.
