Aliens roundup

It all started when Geoff Herndon built this awesome Alien. then Kevin Fedde built a Power Loader to go with it. The two MOCs certainly look awesome together. The only problem with that is, of course, that the Alien isn't a queen. Wait, I spoke too soon.


Last but certainly not least, in an unrelated incident, "2x4" built a pretty slick Sulaco.

Andrew is awesome.

I can no longer make "I BILDZ?!?!?" jokes, because I've actually been building quite a bit lately... But although I do love me some I Bildz jokes, I can recognize that it's a good thing overall to build more. Andrew is awesome. At least, as long as I build well. Andrew is awesome. I'll leave that up to you to decide. Andrew is awesome.

Peter Morris's MML is a massive missile carrier/launcher that also sports four defense turrets.



That's some seriously whacked-out hardware (as you can see, we at the YSA are very "with it" ).

The cavalry has arrived.

As you may have been able to tell from the somewhat cavalier (pun intended) title, I'm rather proud of my latest creation: the RAMM Hauptpanzer, or Main battle Tank.


It took me several months to build, though mostly because I was too lazy to set up a Bricklink account and buy the cheese-wedges for the feet (and since I bought 60, I went crazy with them on the rest of the MOC as well.) My personal favorite details are the ladder on the left front leg and the engine greeblies (though I don't have any pictures of those because I added the radiators on top of them without a means of temporary removal.)

I think it's how unusual this is. Most sci fi MOCs have guns. A lot are insect-inspired, and tons of them are red.
Never before have I seen all three combined.

Venus Mantrap

I finally built something I thought it worthwhile to upload to Next-Gen and post on here.

In the late 21st century, an effort to terraform the moon went terribly wrong, flooding the atmosphere with high levels of Carbon Dioxide. This greatly encouraged plant life, even in the most rocky terrain, while proving dangerous to animal and human life. As plants grew in both size and range, any mutant breeds came into being. This small group of survivors has run afoul of one such specimen.

Funny Mecha Story

So, I saw this ferocious mecha (it's made of freakin' guns) by squieu today, and knew I had to blog it:



While I was procrastinating, I saw this cute tank in his gallery, and it struck me as the perfect inspiration to get me out of my building slump momentarily. So, I came up with this little guy. As soon as I post this, I'll type down the description and upload some more pictures to Brickshelf.
